Somalia’s Southwest state has donated $100,000 to help the victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey.
Under the leadership of President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, Southwest donated the funds to the brotherly people of Turkey.
The European nation suffered devastating deaths and loss of property when a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit it last week.
Authorities reported that around 40,000 have lost their lives in both Turkey and Syria from the earthquake.
The Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu expressed gratitude to the people and government of Southwest state for the kind gesture.
