Health officials in Somaliland have launched a countrywide COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
The vaccination drive kicks off on March 28.
According to the health officials, the vaccination campaign will cover all the major regions in the breakaway nation.
The pilot scheme seeks to vaccinate up to 60,000 individuals.
Frontline workers, especially the elderly and those working in healthcare and security sectors, will be the primary targets.
Regional and area leaders have urged members of the public to turn up in large numbers for inoculation.
Earlier in the week, President Muse Bihi Abdi received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
He led officials in assuaging any concerns that the public might have towards the vaccination.
