Somaliland has been accused of massacring the residents of Las Anod.
Puntland authorities accused Somaliland of launching a vicious attack and violence on the residents of Las Anod.
Eng. Mohamud Ayded Dirir, the Puntland Minister of Information, accused Somaliland of committing the atrocities on Thursday.
In his statement, Eng. Dirir called the recent events in Las Anod a “massacre.”
He added that Somaliland forces have deliberately been killing civilian protestors.
Two civilians lost their lives during the recent demonstrations in Las Anod. Nine other protestors suffered serious injuries.
They were all allegedly shot by Somaliland soldiers.
