Somalis have elected the youngest federal Member of Parliament (MP) in the ongoing House of the People (Lower House) elections.
Delegates elected Abdi Mohamed the MP for Southwest State’s HOP#188 seat.
Southwest held elections for some of its new MPs on Saturday, January 29.
Abdi was born in 1995.
The 27-year old MP becomes the youngest of all the new lawmakers elected to represent any seat in the federal parliament.
