SOMGAS Center has been launched in Berbera Port, Somaliland.
Top government officials, businessmen, scholars, and other dignitaries attended the launching ceremony that was held over the weekend.
Mayor Abdisharkur Mohamud Hassan of Berbera also attended the event as did Governor Ali Abdi Abdillahi Ali’ase of Sahil region.
At the same event, they also welcomed the largest gas ship at the port.
Those who spoke at the function highlighted the importance of the gas center in reducing environmental degradation.
They also appealed to importers of oil and gas to price their products accordingly bearing in mind the incomes of the local population.
