The Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the United Nations to Somalia started visiting the regional states today.
SRSG James Swan was in Kismayo as the first stop of his visits to all the regional states of Somalia.
In his initial tour, Swan held discussions with Jubbaland’s President Ahmed Sheikh Mohamed Islam Madobe.
President Madobe’s ministers attended the meeting in Kismayo on Thursday.
Their discussions focused on national and local matters of interest.
Some of the topics they tackled included security developments, constitutional review process, and humanitarian needs.
