Officials from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) led a multiagency team to visit Burhakaba on Monday.
The UNICEF-led multiagency delegation will be in the area to assess the breakout of cholera.
They spent time at the Burhakaba District Hospital.
A cholera treatment center has been established at the district hospital to cater for all patients displaying symptoms of the potentially deadly disease.
The team also visited a fixed integrated health and nutrition center that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) runs in the area.
