The opposition Wadajir Party said that Somalia needs a police force filled with competent and efficient officers.
A communiqué from Wadajir Party stated this while congratulating Somali Police Force (SPF) during its 77th Anniversary celebrations.
SPF was founded in December 1923.
While congratulating them, the opposition party said that all stakeholders have to work together to build a “competent and efficient” force.
Furthermore, the party said that police officers – and the entire force – must work to fulfill their national duty as envisaged in the constitution.
It listed some of these duties as protection of life and property. Members of the police force have to guarantee safety of all citizens and visitors in Somalia.
