The World Bank has announced plans to pursue a stronger partnership with the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
This emerged on November 15 during a meeting between World Bank officials and representatives from the Somali government.
Keith Hansen, World Bank’s Country Director for Somalia, led his team.
The global lender’s Kristina Svensson also attended Monday’s meeting.
Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Health, represented her government during the talks, which took place in Mogadishu.
Both sides focused on the need for improved partnership between them.
Officials from Somalia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as well as those from the Ministry of Water, and Ministry of Energy were at the meeting.
