A young Somali was awarded $20,000 for his prowess in Ramadan Quran.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud awarded the money to Majidu Rahman Mohamed, a young Hafiz who excelled in reciting the Quran by heart.
Majidu won the Ramadan Quran competition impressively.
However, Majidu wasn’t the only one awarded for this.
Others awarded were Yusuf Hassan and Hussein Hassan Nur who finished second and third respectively in the competition.
Yusuf received $15,000 while Hussein got $10,000.
