Officials from Turkey’s Ziraat Bank visited President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at Villa Somalia on Thursday evening.
The bank’s representatives were in the company of a delegation of Turkish businessmen and investors when visiting the President.
They briefed President Mohamud on the bank’s plans to open a branch in Mogadishu.
Ziraat seeks to be the first Turkish bank to have a presence in Somalia.
In the meantime, President Mohamud spent some time sharing information on investment opportunities in Somalia with the Turkish team.
