103 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded in Somalia

Somalia has recorded 103 new cases of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic from results of tests carried in the last 48 hours.

The Ministry of Health reported these new numbers on April 27.

According to the latest update from the health ministry, Somalia now has 13,915 COVID-19 cases.

The updates, which the ministry released on Tuesday, show that Somaliland was responsible for 80 of the new cases.

HirShabelle followed with 10 cases while Banadir had 6.

Puntland and Jubbaland had 4 and 3 cases respectively.

The ministry’s latest updates also show that the number of fatalities linked to this disease has now reached 713.

At the beginning of the year, the ministry warned Somalis in the country of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
