Somalia’s Ministry of Health has recorded 729 new cases of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the health ministry, the new cases were recorded from 9,158 samples tested in the last week.
Banadir led with 420 cases. Next was Somaliland (87), Jubbaland (86), and Puntland (74).
Other regions with positive cases included HirShabelle with 17 and Galmudug with 7.
In the latest round, no one succumbed to the disease while 234 people recovered from the virulent disease.
Currently, the East African nation has 24,261 COVID-19 cases.
Out of this, it has 13,182 recoveries and 1,335 deaths.
