President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s Director of Communications has praised the appointment of Osman Dubbe as the new Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble appointed Dubbe as the new information minister while announcing his new cabinet on Monday, October 19.
Abdirashid M. Hashi, the Director of Communications of the Presidency, stated that Dubbe is the best choice for the information, culture, and tourism ministry.
According to Hashi, the media fraternity in the East African nation have a “colleague and a friend” in Dubbe.
Hashi now expects members of the press to operate in an excellent atmosphere as they interact with Dubbe.
Further, he hopes to see an improvement in the relations between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the media.
While wishing the minister “success in his new role,” Farmaajo’s Director of Communications also expressed hope that Dubbe would guide media reforms to successful outcome.
