Fiqi Represents Somalia at 20th Anniversary of Palermo Convention

Ahmed Fiqi represented Somalia at celebrations held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Palermo Convention.

Fiqi, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, attended the Ministerial Conference of what is officially known as the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

He joined his colleagues from various parts of the world who gathered at Palermo for the convention.

Somalia is one of the 180 parties that have already ratified the convention.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is responsible for the implementation of the convention.
