Fiqi and Italian Minister Discuss Human Trafficking Concerns

Ahmed Fiqi and Matteo Plantedosi met in Palermo to discuss their concerns regarding migration and human trafficking.

Fiqi is the Somali Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.

His discussions with Plantedosi, the Italian Minister of Interior, took place on Saturday on the sidelines of the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

While at the event, which is more commonly known as the Palermo Convention, Fiqi and Plantedosi agreed on the need to prioritize discussions on migration and human trafficking.

They further agreed to lead their respective ministries into stronger cooperation.
