IED Explosion Kills Deputy District Commissioner in Mogadishu

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Mogadishu killed a Deputy District Commissioner.

The IED explosion took place on April 20.

According to sources, the explosion appeared to target a vehicle carrying the Deputy District Commissioner of Daynile, AbdiMohamed Mohamud.

At the time, Mohamud was traveling to Darusalam, a neighborhood in the capital.

Security sources believe that Al-Shabaab organized this deadly IED attack against yet another government official.
