Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama commended the athlete who won Somalia’s only medal at the recent All African Games in Accra, Ghana.
The Deputy Prime Minister received Abdullahi Jama Mohamed at his office in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
Abdullahi won a silver medal in the men’s 5,000 meters.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the silver medalist deserves all accolades for representing Somalia admirably and effectively at a continental championship.
Abdullahi’s sole medal allowed Somalia to finish joint 36th in the medal’s table.
