President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud awarded a Somali athlete who won the country the only medal at the recent All African Games in Accra, Ghana.
The President invited Abdullahi Jama Mohamed to Villa Somalia on Sunday evening to grant him the highest award in sports in the country for his achievements at the recent continental games.
Mohamed finished second in the men’s 5,000m to leave with a silver medal. That was the only medal Somalia won at the games.
