Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble led the people and government of Somalia in mourning the death of the United Kingdom’s Prince Phillip.
Prince Phillip died on April 9.
He had been in hospital for several weeks.
The 99-year old Briton was the husband of Queen Elizabeth.
On Friday, Prime Minister Roble expressed condolences to the British on behalf of the people and government of Somalia.
He commended Prince Phillip for “leading an extraordinary life of serving the people of the United Kingdom.”
Roble also mentioned the “huge impact” that Prince Phillip had on the British society.
He assured the British that Somalis stand with them.
Prime Minister also stated that the United Kingdom had remained one of Somalia’s true allies and friends over the decades.
