The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has formed a committee to lead anti-corruption efforts around the country.
Hassan Maallim Mohamud announced the formation of the anti-corruption committee on Wednesday.
Mohamud is the Minister of Justice and Constitution.
He added that the committee would now be presented before the Council of Cabinet and federal parliament for approval before its members begin work.
The justice minister vowed that the government would undertake more measures to eradicate corruption from public service.
