Somalia airspace has been re-awarded Class A classification after years of staying in the doldrums.
The last time Somalia enjoyed such classification was 30 years ago.
Decades of conflict and non-functioning government caused the East African nation to lose Class A airspace classification.
The reclassification, which was announced on Wednesday, takes effect on January 26 exactly a minute past midnight.
