MOGADISHU, Somalia – The 7th National Forum of Judges concluded today in Mogadishu, wrapping up a series of high-level discussions aimed at strengthening Somalia’s judicial system and tackling persistent challenges in justice delivery.
The forum brought together judges from across the country, legal scholars, federal government officials, and representatives from civil society. Over the course of the event, participants engaged in rich dialogue, fostering collaboration between the judiciary and the communities it serves.
Key discussions focused on identifying practical obstacles within the justice system and exploring reforms to make it more efficient, transparent, and independent. The goal was clear: build a judiciary capable of delivering fair and accessible justice to all Somalis.
The closing session, led by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, His Excellency Bashe Yusuf Ahmed, highlighted the forum’s achievements. Chief Justice Ahmed commended the organizers for their outstanding coordination and thanked participants for their dedication and thoughtful contributions. He stressed that the insights gained during the forum will play a crucial role in shaping the next phase of Somalia’s judicial reforms.
