Somalia forces killed more than 300 terrorists in military operations that took place in the last seven days.
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) made this claim on Wednesday.
However, the claim is yet to be verified independently.
Government troops have carried out joint counterterrorism operations with local communities in various parts of the country.
Two of those killed in the operations hold senior positions in Al-Shabaab.
