The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) remains committed to the advancement of women’s rights in the country.
Khadija M. Diriye, the Minister of Women and Human Rights, offered the world this reassurance on Monday.
She said this while addressing the United Nation’s 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
Diriye reaffirmed the Somali government’s pledge to advance the rights of women and empower them through education.
She added that the government would not stop empowering women and girls with skills that prepare them to benefit from the digital era.
