Somalia is to benefit from the donations that the United States has extended to African nations.
The US announced a donation of $2.5 million in new development assistance to the region through the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Primarily, the funds are for Ghana.
However, several other nations in Africa will benefit, especially those in regions facing the ongoing drought and unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
