Somaliland leaders held mediation and reconciliation talks in Las Anod.
Speaker Abdirisak Khalif Ahmed of the House of Representatives led the talks that took place on Saturday.
A delegation comprising Cabinet of Ministers attended the talks too under the leadership of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Some of the ministers at the meeting included Abdiqani Mohamud Aateeye, Abdirisaq Ibrahim Farah, Saeed Sulub Mohamed, and Suleiman Warsame Gule.
Aateeye is the Minister of Defense, Farah the Minister of Transport and Road Development, and Saeed the Minister of Animan Husbandry and Fisheries Development.
Guled is Somaliland’s Minister of Justice.
Abdikarim Adan Haji Diriye, the Governor of Sool region was present too.
Violence and conflicts have rocked Las Anod for weeks.
