Somaliland has announced that its forces remain in control in the Sool region.
Nuh Ismail Tani, the commander of Somaliland National Armed Forces, denied reports that Somalia is now in control of the region.
Tani was addressing the media in Hargeisa on Tuesday.
In his speech, Tani added that the security of Las Anod remains in the hands of the Somaliland National Armed Forces.
The region has been at the center of a territorial war between Somalia and Somaliland in recent days.
