Turkey has expressed gratitude to Somalia for the congratulatory messages delivered on the recent presidential election.
The Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu issued a press statement on Tuesday thanking Somalia for the congratulations.
Specifically, the gratitude was for the message Somalia delivered to the Embassy over the weekend when President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the runoff.
Over the years, Turkey and Somalia have enjoyed brotherly relations.
Turkey has several investments in the East African nation. It also trains Somalia’s military and security personnel.
