Beijing – Somalia’s Ambassador to China, Dr. Hodan Osman, hosted a group of 20 emerging Somali diplomats who completed an intensive training program and study tour across several Chinese cities.
The program was designed to enhance their diplomatic skills and deepen their understanding of China’s development model, governance systems, and global partnerships.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Somalia’s diplomatic capacity and promote meaningful international engagement.
During the closing ceremony, Dr. Hodan praised the young diplomats for their dedication and highlighted the importance of international exposure in shaping Somalia’s future foreign policy professionals. She also emphasized the strong and growing ties between Somalia and China.
The diplomats visited key institutions, development zones, and cultural landmarks in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The tour offered firsthand insights into China’s transformation and development strategies.
