A Kenyan army commander visited African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) troops in Kismayo.
Lt. Gen. Peter Njiru visited the ATMIS troops based at the New Airport Forward Operating Base (FOB) on Monday.
Troops from Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) are at the FOB.
Brig. Luka Kutto and Brig. William Kamoiro were at the facility to welcome Lt. Gen. Njiru.
Brig. Kutto and Brig. Kamoiro are the ATMIS Sector 6 and Sector 2 commanders respectively.
Njiru commended the troops for the commitment displayed in making Somalia secure and stable for all.
He also visited other FOBs at Sea Port, Old Port, and Abdale Birole.
