Catriona Laing, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the United Nations, has embarked on a farewell tour around Somalia.
Laing kicked off the tour with a trip to HirShabelle where she held talks with regional President Ali Hussein Gudlawe.
The SRSG and President Gudlawe discussed the ongoing constitutional review process in Somalia.
Further to that, they also spoke about the recently postponed National Consultative Council (NCC).
The fight against Al-Shabaab featured prominently in their talks as well.
Laing and President Gudlawe through discussions on the reconciliation process taking place in HirShabelle too.
