The much-anticipated National Consultations Conference (NCC) in Somalia kicked off today.
Leaders from different parts of the country converge in the capital city to address critical national issues such as upcoming elections and security.
They will discuss these issues under the leadership of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at the presidential palace in Mogadishu.
The summit brings together key leaders, including Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama, and Banadir Region Governor Yusuf Madale.
However, Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni is notably absent from the conference.
Leaders from the other Federal Member States are all present.
This meeting aims to shape the direction of Somalia’s political and security landscape amid growing national challenges.
