The regional state of Puntland has announced elections for 11 House of the People (Lower House) seats.
On January 18, Puntland’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) listed the 11 seats where delegates would get a chance to elect new Members of Parliament (MPs).
The seats are HOP#14, HOP#174, HOP#191, HOP#192, HOP#129, HOP#75, HOP#121, HOP#221, HOP#73, HOP#198, and HOP#199.
Tuesday’s announcement is in tandem with the plans by Somalia to conclude elections for all parliamentary seats by February 25, 2022.
