President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held discussions with the United Nations relief chief in Mogadishu.
The meeting between President Mohamud and Martin Griffiths took place on September 1 at Villa Somalia.
Griffiths is the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs.
He also doubles as the Emergency Relief Coordination.
The UN relief chief visited President Mohamud on Thursday where the two discussed wide-ranging issues.
Top on their list of discussions was the ongoing drought response in Somalia.
The East African nation has been experiencing one of its worst droughts in decades. The drought has created a devastating humanitarian crisis.
They agreed on the need to build resilience through sustainable development in the long term.
