Mogadishu, Somalia – The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has strongly condemned what it describes as false and malicious allegations targeting Somalia’s official delegation to the upcoming International Labour Conference (ILC 2025).
In a statement released today, the ministry said the fabricated claims—circulated via dubious websites and social media platforms—are deliberate attempts to mislead the public and undermine Somalia’s representation on the international stage.
“These unfounded attacks are part of a coordinated smear campaign aimed at discrediting the integrity and professionalism of our delegation,” the ministry stated, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and accountability.
Authorities have confirmed that legal proceedings have begun to hold the perpetrators accountable.
The ministry urged the public to rely on official channels for accurate information and reiterated its dedication to protecting the country’s reputation in global forums.
