Somalia’s Rural Communities Need Help to Adapt to Frequent Climate Crises

Rural communities in Somalia need assistance to adapt to frequent climate crises.

Ezana G. Kassa, the Head of Programme of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in Somalia has declared.

Kassa said this during an interview with Al Jazeera English on June 22.

He further reiterated the importance of “changing how we do business.”

According to Kassa, frequent climate crises in Somalia have created an ongoing drought that threatens the livelihoods of rural communities.

He stated that FAO would work closely with stakeholders to find the right solutions.
