Urban Development Project Unveiled in Warsheikh’s Mindhob Area

CEELMACAAN, WARSHEIKH DISTRICT: A major urban planning event for the Mindhob neighborhood was held in Ceelmacaan, Warsheikh district, marking a significant step forward in organized development under the broader “New Mogadishu” initiative. The event, hosted by Dhulbeer Company, the firm spearheading the neighborhood’s planning and construction, drew local officials, religious scholars, business leaders, youth representatives, and members of the Somali diaspora, highlighting widespread interest in the project.

Sheikh Mohamed Osman, a key figure from Dhulbeer Company, initiated the proceedings by outlining the company’s vision to create a modern residential community featuring sustainable infrastructure and long-term strategies to develop the area into a thriving urban hub. Engineer Hassan, a specialist in land and urban planning, unveiled comprehensive blueprints detailing the neighborhood’s structural design and development approach, with a focus on organized land utilization and modern infrastructure benchmarks.

Noted Somali scholar Sheikh Abdihakin Sheikh Ali Suufi announced plans to construct a substantial modern Islamic center in Mindhob, which will serve as a focal point for Islamic education and cultural enrichment within the Somali community. Multiple Somali diaspora participants expressed enthusiasm for the development initiative and committed to investing in the neighborhood, citing strong belief in its future expansion prospects.

Warsheikh District Commissioner Mohamed Hassan Mataan, in his closing remarks, emphasized the continuous advancements in the region and encouraged Somali entrepreneurs and diaspora communities to invest domestically and support the nation’s reconstruction and economic advancement.
