The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has donated over 250,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to Somalia.
USAID delivered the vaccines to Somalia on March 3.
The international organization delivered exactly 250,380 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, which the US donated through Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
Other organizations that made the donation possible included African Union (AU) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
While delivering the vaccines, USAID stated that the donations represent the strong commitment towards supporting its partners on the African continent.
