Ahmed Mohamed Fiqi has officially taken over as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Fiqi was inaugurated into his new role on Saturday.
He was appointed the new foreign affairs minister earlier this week following the decision by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre to reshuffle the cabinet.
Fiqi expressed gratitude to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Barre for entrusting him with the foreign affairs docket.
